Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description: Senior Mechanical Engineer supporting Agile Combat Support Program at Warner Robins, GA location. The ideal candidate will provide critical technical support in the planning, integration, analysis, and risk management of weapon systems. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with government agencies, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance of various defense systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in technical planning, systems integration, and verification/validation for weapon systems. Conduct cost and risk analysis, as well as supportability and effectiveness analyses, to ensure system readiness and performance. Perform engineering activities, including defining system requirements, reviewing vendor designs, and evaluating technical proposals. Research and develop technical solutions while performing systems functional analysis. Conduct trade studies, technical reviews, and support test and evaluation activities. Coordinate with USG agencies, prototype facilities, commercial vendors, and engineering firms to conduct comprehensive technical analyses. Contribute to the creation of engineering documentation and mechanical engineering analyses. Assist in identifying, managing, mitigating, and addressing technical and program architecture risks, including conducting interoperability analysis and risk assessments. Support the integration of current and evolving systems into weapon system platforms, ensuring compatibility and effective performance. Provide engineering support by applying mechanical engineering principles to assess the business and technical needs of Mission Partners. Contribute to the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, support systems, equipment items, or similar productsRequired Skills/Education:
MA/MS degree with a major in engineering with 10-14 years of directly related experience, OR, BA/BS degree with 14-16 years of directly related experience, OR, at least 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), and other standard (Customer specified) applications.)Education: Bachelor's Degree
