\nThe Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer role will be responsible for the analysis, design and development of advanced heat transfer products. The product line includes plate/fin and tubular heat exchangers, water separators, ozone converters and cold plates. You will perform heat exchanger heat transfer and pressure drop analysis, and water separator and ozone converter efficiency and pressure drop analysis including analysis of existing applications as well as sizing new applications for internal or external customers based on well-defined or loosely defined boundary conditions. The primary analysis methods will be based on bulk-average and empirical models but will also require the use of internally-developed finite difference tools.
\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $112,200 - $140,300. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Key Responsibilities
\n\nFundamental heat exchanger, water separator and ozone converter performance analysis.\nThe design, development and qualification of heat exchangers which meet customer and internal requirements.\nIdentifying and resolving design problems of performance, weight, material selection and finishes.\nIdentifying and incorporating best practices for product design. \nImplementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests.\n\n\nAssists in proposal and new business development efforts.\n\nCoordinating activities to reduce test data and prepare test reports.

YOU MUST HAVE
\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\n4 years of product development in mechanical equipment experience.\n2 years of heat transfer performance analysis using bulk-average methods.\n\nAbility to clearly present the results to internal and external customers, vendors and stakeholders.\n\n\n
