**Job Description:**
The Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer will serve as a program lead for bpx Midstream’s Mechanical Integrity and Inspection program in the Permian and Eagle Ford basins. The Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer will work cross functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams. This position would report to the Integrity and Quality Manager. This position would be responsible for coordinating API inspections and certifying compliance in accordance with API, PSM standards and company rules and regulations. Core competencies of this role include applying sound engineering judgement to drive integrated, pragmatic solutions focused on risk management and reduction, operating efficiency, emissions improvement, and defect elimination.
**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company safety standards and practices.
+ The management of the Mechanical Integrity and Inspection program for bpx midstream facilities throughout the Permian and Eagle Ford basins.
+ Lead contract inspectors to perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment and piping in accordance with API 510, API 570, and API Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
+ Lead Damage Mechanism Reviews (DMRs) and Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs) to resolve appropriate inspection plans.
+ Develop WBS and ensure data quality into the company’s IDMS.
+ Work closely with maintenance and operations teams in performing RCFA and defect elimination to continuously improve facility reliability and integrity management.
+ Provide 'boots on the ground' support when needed to gather data and ensure appropriate inspections and actions are taken.
+ Key stakeholder in Management of Change (MOC) reviews and actions.
+ Advise on annual budgets and monthly forecasts with Operations and Engineering input.
+ Responsible for regulatory compliance as it pertains to the Mechanical Integrity program for OSHA PSM regulated facilities.
+ Lead and nurture the relationship with field operations to identify systematic improvements and eliminate repeat failures.
+ Provide positive leadership while being a teammate, and share lessons learned across disciplines and between business functions.
+ Participate in BP technical networks and communities of practice, maintaining a strong awareness of technical takeaways and developing links with specialists and engineers from a range of disciplines.

**Essential Education:**
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Materials Engineering preferred
**Essential Experience and Job Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Mechanical Integrity Inspection for the oil and gas industry.
+ Preferred - API Certifications in 510, 570, 653, 580.
+ Excellent knowledge of API standards, including API 510, 570, 580, 581 and 653.
+ Excellent knowledge of NDE inspection methodologies including advanced NDE.
+ Proficient digital literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP)
+ Strong written and verbal communications skills
+ Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail and process improvements
+ Ability to work optimally with minimum supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment
+ Ability to lead activities for multiple projects in parallel while optimally leading time and resources required
+ Ability to spend time in the field with the team focused on safety leadership and execution performance
