This role will be a remote position within the employee home. Employee travel to the Brooklyn office will be required on an as-needed basis with appropriate advanced notification, notwithstanding an unexpected need. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. *You must reside in the United States*
The marketing department seeks a great addition to our already amazing team. This role will report up to the Local Media Director. They will collaborate with many other groups within the firm but primarily within the media buying team. This role will be required to be a strong negotiator, excellent at maintaining vendor relationships and can quickly pivot with assigned roles daily. We are fast learners, risk-takers, and experts in our fields. We have been doing this for a long time, together, and we put people first. With that mantra, we are redefining the law space.
Your Role
Local spot media buying across multiple markets for various mediums; including TV, Radio, Cable, and Local Streaming. Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with all local media partners. Maintain and analyze posts by market, including sending monthly post updates to vendor partners, requesting UD schedules and/or requesting cash suspensions if necessary. Deliver consistent, excellent pricing through annual negotiations. Develop deep understanding of the legal category. Review PI Intakes each Monday. Review daily Media Monitors new creative + new advertiser emails each Monday. Review and write detailed competitive reports each week; including deep dive information and as well as reaching out to local reps to request competitive intel. Be the local media expert for each market; including the legal competitive landscape, detailed knowledge of all station vendor partners, posts, trending with IMPS, key personnel at each station ownership group, etc. Ability to evaluate sponsorship opportunities as they are offered by vendor partners. Make recommendations for markets with issues. Monitor campaign delivery weekly and monthly via Sigma, post logs, etc. Aid the billing team with credits, resolve missing invoice issues, etc. Enter buys into buying system and send orders to vendors. Communicate effectively with external and internal media teams. Ability to prioritize projects to meet internal and external deadlines. Responsible for the growth & development of their respective assistant.What We Require
Bachelor’s Degree 15+ years of media buying experience within an agency setting Strong organization skills with great attention to detail A solid work ethic with the self-motivation needed to exceed expectations Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines Strong local rep rapport Willingness to step out of assigned role to support team members Experience using Freewheel/Strata preferred Ability to interpret research data Proficient in Microsoft Office Effective written/verbal communications skills Excellent proofreading skillsNice to Have
