Albertsons Media Collective is Albertsons’ expansion into the Retail Media Sector. It offers all brands the opportunity to drive relevance through advertising programs that leverage the unique relationship we have with our customers through our first-party data targeting and measurement capabilities. 

What you will be doing

As the Sr. Media Lead, you will lead the charge in building innovative media solutions for CPGs and agencies to leverage Albertsons Companies’ shopper behaviors. As the central media point of contact for your books of business, you will drive strategic direction, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with media best practices. Your role encompasses leading media teams, developing processes at scale as well as fostering cross-functional collaboration to propel business growth. In this role you will drive actionable results and help brands and agencies achieve their goals by integrating media insights at all stages of the campaign lifecycle.

The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Boise, ID, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ). 

Main responsibilities

Develop and implement revenue generation and growth strategies for Albertsons Media Collective from clients within your assigned segment /tier and help. Lead the development of annual Communications Plans, Key Narratives and Metrics inclusive of client or tier specific learning agendas Ensure cohesive narrative/actionable media insights and next steps within Quarterly Business Reviews Manage media planning & activation team members on the relevant books of business and client tier, ensuring consistent CPG support & streamlined media process Review, pressure test, and interpret priority campaign briefs with corresponding media team direction Develop media strategy & performance best practices + training materials to educate cross teams Support Sales and Account Management teams in closing business by providing media expertise  Contribute to Collective's new product roadmaps, playbooks and marketing materials with media expertise Responsible for in market media performance, including oversight of in house, agency and/or offshore media activation capabilities across digital channels: Owned, Search, Social, Programmatic and In-store channels Collaborates with partners, publishers, and ad tech partners to achieve goals and drive gains on KPIs for marketing efficiency and capabilities growth Champions and co owns the learning agenda and evolving set of playbooks that document best practices from day-to-day operations, pilots and ensuring cross-team education and adoption.  Inspire and lead your team by setting clear direction and accountability for activity that drives revenue as well as drive strong customer value and satisfaction. Develops and mentor staff through on boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and engagement

The salary range is $102,700 to $143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for 

Leadership and team management Requires an individual that works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The individual is expected to be resourceful and demonstrate the initiative to participate in advanced projects Strong troubleshooting skill and oversight of the implementation and integration of new emerging tools and/or technologies that will enable Albertsons Media Collective to work effectively and efficiently as an organization Media knowledge: detailed understanding of assessing target audiences, media planning and buying techniques, and evaluation of media performance

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience. MBA a plus. People Management Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Retail Media Network or ecom/retail, preferably grocery, e-commerce or CPG categories. Retail Media Network is preferred. 10+ years of experience in digital media planning and execution in ad technology including Ad Serving, Media Platforms (DV360, TradeDesk, Social Platforms, CTV), LiveRamp and/or relevant digital media tools.  Must be comfortable managing both in-house and offshore/remote or agency partner teams
