Senior Medical Staff Coordinator - Alaska Medical Center

Provides regional support to the Medical Staff organization activities under the general direction of the Regional Medical Staff Services Supervisor.  Initiates, coordinates, and maintains credentialing and privileging functions for members of the Medical Staff.  Primary objectives are timely and complete processing of all applications (initial and reappointment), processing of status changes and additional privileges, and maintaining an accurate database of privileged practitioners ensuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, established policies and procedure, accreditation standards and regulatory agencies.  Maintains a high level of integrity and confidentiality at all times. Serves as resource to Medical Staff and facility leaders in credentialing and privileging related matters.

This is a Full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Day shifts; and 40 hours per week.

Required qualifications:

Associate's Degree in a healthcare-associated field. Or equivalent educ/experience. upon hire: to be actively pursuing CPCS Certification within 1 year of hire CPCS Certification. 5 years Medical Staff Services experience, which includes credentialing, reappointment processing, and progressive administrative experience. 3 years Experience in a medical setting with experience in medical terminology. 3 years Experience working with senior level or executive management. 3 years Progressive experience with MSOW Credentialing Software to include background application modifications and updates

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-associated field. Or equivalent educ/experience
