Summary
Provides technical leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in a business and/or functional area to help the user in defining their needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Stays up to date on current industry knowledge and best practices to ensure optimal performance.
Job DutiesEvaluates, plans, and leads the execution of tests scenarios. Coordinates/leads others in process of unit, functional, and integration testing. Assists in developing and testing disaster recovery procedures. Determines impact of alternative solutions and encourages innovative and cost effective solutions. Describes complex business problems and environment and identifies user goals and objectives and anticipated benefits. Designs and/or constructs efficient application modules, reports, displays, databases, and interfaces for projects. Develops and implements strategies and methodologies to meet the future information needs. Analyzes complex work processes and assesses the feasibility of small to large project requests. Develops simple and effective specifications for projects of all complexities.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED 10 years experience in information services or 10 years experience working in healthcare. Ability to lead project teams to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity. Demonstrates high degree of technical competence in all aspects of job performance. Demonstrates ability to problem solve and recommend/implement corrective action while using healthcare knowledge. Demonstrates strong understanding of interrelationships between the department/division system applications and other functions. Demonstrates ability to manage projects with minimal supervision and direction. Excellent analytical skills to assess business problems and develop feasible alternative solutions. Knowledge of current information technology and proficiency in platform, network, and workstation tools. Knowledge of broad operational concepts for functions and processes. Knowledge of tools, software, hardware and protocols and ability to use them efficiently. Verbal and written communication skills.
