Senior Merchandise Accountant
Job Description One of our largest entertainment clients is looking for a Senior Merchandise Accountant to join their team in Calabasas, CA. This is a hybrid position on site 1-2 days a week. This person will support various critical operations including, close, reporting and analysis, audit support, forecasting of Fixed expenses and assist with show settlements, recording and analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Event Accounting. Responsibilities - Assist in the timely completion of the monthly close responsibilities for Inventory and COGS - Work in conjunction with our Merchandise team and Events teams to make sure all COGS and Inventory is accounted for correctly in each project - Create settlements and track all costs at a detailed level with 3rd party merchandise partners - Investigate and reconciliation of companies ERP with 3rd party merchandise partners - Perform month-end close tasks as defined by management including preparation of journal entries in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements - Assist with special projects as assigned, including new initiatives implementation.
