Job Description

Utilize exceptional business acumen to identify business opportunities through data-driven analysis. Maximize return on investment through planning of sales to drive a profitable and healthy business. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to increase site conversion and drive site improvements. Provide research, analysis, reporting, and forecasting at the category level.

Job Responsibilities:

Support merchants in managing categories through planning, forecasting, assortment-specific analytics, web analytics, and site improvementsMaintain and update weekly analyses/reportingProduce ad-hoc reporting and analysis through data mining and visualizationDevelop pre-season and in-season financial plans at the category and sub-category levelLead forecasting of sales, margin, receipts and inventory turn during the open-to-buy process for assigned categoriesCreate POs, manage lead times/order flow, allocate inventory to DCs and troubleshoot delays of merchandise in-transitManage demand, replenishment and end-of-life at a SKU-level to achieve in-stock goalsBe willing to work cross-functionally with merchants and other analytics teamsLead product management initiatives through analysis and strategic planningIdentify businesses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threatsProactively identify opportunities for category growth and improvementProvide analysis in a timely, accurate and professional mannerPrioritize all ad hoc reporting requests based on potential business value

Job Requirements:

5+ years of forecasting and managing inventory in a retail environment4-5 years of experience in a data intensive role (past sales planning experience a plus)Solid grasp of retail mathWorks well independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAssertive, self-starter, always willing to share ideasWork effectively with various departments to resolve issues, reach agreements, and collaborate on strategic initiativesExpertise working in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Experience or familiarity with relational databases (intermediate skills in SQL a plus)Must love a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentDetail-oriented

Skills:

Excel (Advanced Formulas, VBA a plus)Inventory Planning System Experience (Oracle, Arthur)Preferred: SQL (Select Statements, Joins, and Aggregate functions)Business (Retail) PracticesData Visualization (MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Education:

Bachelors degree or equivalent

Base Salary Range: $86,000 - $107,000

Physical Requirements:
