Our Merchant team is seeking a talented, versatile Senior Merchant to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate command of assortment planning, strategic pricing, competitive market analysis, strong cross-functional leadership skills, exceptional analytical skills, and a track record of success in driving positive and continuous improvement within the organization.
In This Role\nPartner with Product Development in creating brand assortment line plan and execution of product strategy\nAnalyze data to identify profit growth opportunities and drive sales in new or existing categories \nConduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges\nStrategize and collaborate with Marketing on future promotional plans\nDevelop markdown strategies for end-of-life product\nWork with Planning team on setting initial forecasts and issuing first production run purchase orders for new product\nAssist with establishing product pricing and creating strategy to maximize margin\nProvide Planning team with support in buying and forecasting\nOwn weekly and monthly metric reporting recaps and provide management team with key findings\nPerform ad-hoc analysis based on historical sales performance and product attributes\nPartner with Country Managers and international team to support vendor capacity planning\nParticipate in cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements\nEnsure data integrity\nOther duties as assigned by Management\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team: \nBe open and honest \nReach for excellence \nAct with responsibility \nValue the whole person \nEnjoy the journey\n\n\n
The Ideal Person\n5+ years of retail planning, buying or equivalent analytical experience (furniture industry experience highly preferred)\nAdvanced knowledge of Excel required\nBachelors Degree in Merchandising or related field Required\nStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nHighly organized and motivated individual with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to influence cross-functionally\n
