The Role
We are seeking experienced Sr Java microservices developer to join our digital sales development team. In this Sr Developer Role, you will be responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications.In this software development role, you will be responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. Additionally, you will drive development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. You will coach/mentor software developers and will review the software being developed. This role will also work closely with architects and/or data scientists to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.What You’ll DoStrong experience in development activities, which include updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular business problemEnsure and adhere to the GM development process in accordance with appropriate methodologies and the application of a repeatable, systematic, and quantifiable approach.Closely work with solution architects, enterprise architects, and/or data scientists to ensure code alignment with design patterns and frameworks.Design and code for Proof of Concepts with New Functionality/Technology and validate to eliminate technical riskCoach or mentor software developers as needed and review the software being developed by the team members to ensure the intended design and quality levels are met through regular code reviews and testing of the software in development.Prioritizing day-to-day domain services system issues and channel requests in a timely manner, effectively managing channel expectations, and escalating where appropriateBe the point of contact for one or more domain services.Additional Job DescriptionRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field5+ years of experience in Java developmentRelevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and SwaggerPerforms a variety of tasks Contribute to the Design and develop high quality software for large scale Java/Spring Batch/Micro-service ApplicationsPerforms and/or leads design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution.Experience of Postgres/ Oracle / MySQL / NoSQL databases Working knowledge with CI/CD Technologies / Best Practices (Artifactory, Black Duck, Chef, CARA, SonarQube and Jenkins, Build pipelines, GitFlow, JIRA, Launch Darkly etc.)Experience with unit and automation testing (Protractor, JUnit/Mockito)Knowledge &Implementing of Security principles Encryption, Authentication/Authorization etc)Experience in implementing Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and domain-driven and event-driven architectureExperienced in 3-tier, n-tier, cloud computing[PCF and Azure], microservices architectures and SOA.Experience deploying systems into a production Cloud Native EnvironmentThis role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.
