Senior Mobile Engineer

HOW A SENIOR MOBILE ENGINEER Android/Apple WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Support the deployment of client’s mobile devices and mobile applications, enrollments, troubleshooting implementation and connectivity issues, providing ongoing operational support of mobile devices and mobile applications.Minimum 5+ years support Android as well ss Apple iPads, iTunes, and Apple apps.Syncing mobile devices with iTunes and supporting/assisting the client in this process – downloading apps from the App Store and supporting/assisting the client personnel in this process.Troubleshooting VPN, Wi-Fi and 5G communications problems as they occur during the deployment and ongoing operations of the Postal Inspection Service within the network.Interface with suppliers (e.g., MobileIron, Tangoe, Apple, etc.) as part of the daily support duties supporting the rollout and operational support of the Postal Inspection Service.Experience with a Mobile Device Management system such as MobileIron (preferably), Boxtone, Airwatch or Maas360Utilize MobileIron MDM (mobile device management) to support and manage client’s mobile devices (Apple iPads/iPhones). Will run activity, performance, and compliance reports on mobile devices within the MobileIron MDM.Prepare online instructions and could conduct weekly online sessions with government personnel to activate, enroll, and otherwise set up mobile devices for utilization within the client’s  automated environment.Utilizing the MS Suite of products to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Visio in support of report generation, developing planning documents, and customer interface associated with the client deployment and ongoing support.

Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience.

Education: bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in a computer science, information system or related field preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:

Operates, maintains, and provides customer support and consultation for a wide variety of complex IOS Android smart devices.Analyzes and develops innovative resolutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the system level.  Works with the client’s Mobile Computing team to resolve problems.  Coordinates the implementation of solutions.Provides technical leadership for capacity and performance analyses and develops and implements recommendations.Prepares materials and oral presentations for customers and management.  Plays a lead role in meetings relating to technology initiatives.Interacts with customers and provides leadership in developing and recommending innovative solutions to business problems of high complexity, including preparation of economic models, cost-benefit analyses, and project budgets for technology acquisition.Develops and maintains specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies.Provides training to less experienced team members of the Analytic Section.

Security Clearance Level:  Ability to achieve a Public Trust clearance - the security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
