At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do! **What We Need:** Someone who creates, directs and produces highly regarded morning show on Real 92-3, LA New Home for Hip Hop! **What You'll Do:** + Support the production of program segments. + Produce creative, content, production, and cost/benefit decisions for larger programs. + Research information and obtain materials necessary for production. Writes line copy and scripts special introductions. + Participate in editing of final product. Sources potential contributors and interviewees. + Manage the logistics of getting people, resources, and equipment together at the right place and at the right time. + May be responsible for the overall quality control of productions consistent with creative vision and/or production plan. + Operates control board for studios and remote programming. + Regulates program timing, operates syndicated programming, and plays commercials. + Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room. + Protects station’s license by censoring live programs and deleting words/phrases not permitted on air. + Assists with adjusting signal and programming content to ensure transmission meets federally mandated broadcast standards. + Processes time-out programming for accurate play back. + Checks studio equipment for proper functioning and notifies Engineering of technical malfunctions affecting quality of the broadcast. + Screens in-coming phone calls and selectively chooses callers for On-Air Talent and talk shows. + Executes playlists for server, tape, or simulcast programming. + Handles emergency inserts (e.g. news updates, breaking stories, alert system tests, etc.). **What You'll Need:** + Strong, working knowledge of the Los Angeles area and its Hip Hop scene. + A fan of Hip Hop music, lifestyle and culture from an LA perspective. + Knowledge of all social media platforms and proper execution. + Ability to generate original ideas, and to think creatively about how to communicate them to audiences; has comprehensive knowledge of subjects relevant to specific radio genres. + Understanding of the radio market, different station/program styles, and audience demographics. + Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms, including News and Sports. + Proven track record of motivating, coaching and leading a team. + Full knowledge of the law, ethics and industry regulations around radio production. + Excellent IT skills, including data handling, audio editing and image manipulation software. + Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, and to react quickly to changes/ + Excellent planning and organizing skills. + Excellent communication skills, complemented by diplomacy, empathy and patience. **What You'll Bring:** + Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return + Full proficiency and understanding of job function + Open communication with colleagues and direct reports that encourages collaboration and team consensus + Strong problem solving skills + Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidance + Commitment to process improvement for overall team effectiveness + Professional communication that stresses diplomacy, empathy and patience **Compensation:** Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $88,000 - $110,000 **Location:** Burbank, CA: 3400 West Olive Avenue, Suite 550, 91505 **Position Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Full time **Pay Type:** Salaried **Benefits:** iHeartMedia’s benefits offering is flexible and offers a variety of choices to meet the diverse needs of our changing workforce, including the following: + Employer sponsored medical, dental and vision with a variety of coverage options + Company provided and supplemental life insurance + Paid vacation and sick time + Paid company holidays, including a floating holiday that enable our employees to celebrate the holiday of their choosing + A Spirit day to encourage and allow our employees to more easily volunteer in their community + A 401K plan + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost – services include telephonic counseling sessions, consultation on legal and financial matters, emotional well-being, family and caregiving + ​A range of additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts, student loan refinancing, accident insurance and more!
