Senior MR Applications Design Engineer
Job Description SummarySeeking an Applications Engineer with a strong background in software and applications workflow design and medical device experience for our MR Advanced Concepts and Applications Innovations team in Bangalore. The team in Bangalore is focused on developing MR applications from the product roadmap and delivering them to product as part of NPI programs. The ideal candidate will have a track record of working on projects from concept through to integration into the product platform, ensuring compliance with medical devices industry standards and regulations, and deliver high quality applications software solutions to our MRI products. The position has a strong focus on developing novel clinical applications and workflow innovations. Specifically, the role requires a focus on developing clinical applications and workflow automation methods.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead and develop PSD, recon and AI-based workflow automation and simplification methods from concept through detailed development, evaluation and integration into product

Interacting with clinical applications specialists, applications development team, software and systems engineers to ensure that developed capabilities meet user requirements and system specifications

Integrate the developed capabilities into MRI systems spanning the entire portfolio of products
 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master' s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree

At least 5+ years of engineering experience in the industry

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes

Understand key business drivers and adhere to GE HealthCare standards, industry standards, Medical device safety, and regulatory requirements

Strong knowledge of MRI systems design

Drive continuous improvement in product software quality and development/ testing processes/methods

Leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills
 

Desired Characteristics:

Strong understanding of MRI fundamentals.

Understands aspects of relevant GE HealthCare MRI applications & software architecture, development/testing environments spanning PSD, recon and AI workflows in MRI products.

Hands-on hardware experience in AI & algorithm development and orchestration methods.

Ability to work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
