The Opportunity:
You will provide our clients (e.g. NAVSEA, NSWC, MSC, USCG, etc.) with expert combat systems technical support for the development of next generation naval vessels. This entails amphibious (LHA and LPD), aircraft carriers (CVN), combatants (DDG, FFG, etc.) and other future ship classes across their acquisition program life cycle. The type of support provided will vary based on project requirements. It is expected that all combat systems engineers will stay current with regards to emerging naval technologies, ship design requirements, analysis, and modeling tools. Entry and mid-level engineers will participate as members of engineering teams and continue to enhance their skillsets. Senior engineers will lead engineering teams, review work, and mentor team members. Additionally, all will support strategic growth opportunities in the combat systems marketspace by participating in the development of future business proposals.
The Primary Focus for this role as the CACI Principal Combat Systems SME for Combat Systems technical areas including but are not limited to:
Experience acquiring, designing, installing, testing, evaluating, operating, or troubleshooting US Navy Combat Systems Suites (either AEGIS or SSDS)Knowledge of how Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems are integrated into US Navy Combat System SuitesAbility to understand Installation Control Drawing Lists (ICDLs), Installation Control Drawings, (ICDs), and Cable Block Diagrams for US Navy Combat System SuitesAbility to understand, write, and assess ship specifications and contract languageKnowledge of naval operations and warfighting: mission areas, kill chains, and interoperabilityKnowledge of DoD (e.g. USN, NATO, NAVSEA, PEO IWS) combat systems technical documentation (e.g. Instructions, Policies, Procedures, Military Standards (MIL-STDs)) affecting combat systems acquisition, design, testing, installation, operation, and maintenance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
