Senior Network Analyst

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institution A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience implementing and supporting network solutions with Multi-platform Cisco Routers, Switches, EIGRP, BGP, VoIP and Network Management tools and CCNA Certification.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary range: $60 – 90k/year approximation (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

*Up to 20% travel is expected in this role.

*Role is a hybrid work schedule. 3 days in the office 2 days remote.

Howmet Aerospace, Inc. (Howmet) is currently in search of an Infrastructure Local Area Network (LAN) based in Whitehall Michigan. This position will report to the Network Specialist and be part of the IT team that strives to maintain the environment to ensure continuous operations and actively designs and builds innovative solutions to address business and customer needs. 


Primary Purpose of the Job:

Provide local and remote support for multiple locations across the Globe.Plan, design, analyzes and provides technical support for data communications of networks.Network monitoring, Capacity and Configuration Management.Coordinating changes on all Network software and hardwareCreate and\or maintain current quality documentation.Provide governance and conform to security requirements.Proficient in Cisco route/switch/wireless and firewall platforms. Palo Alto experience is a plus.

Activities / Key Challenges:

Select, direct, and monitor the implementation of wired and wireless equipment for the business and process networks for supported sites.Operational support of data network including troubleshooting routing and switching issuesAnalysis for root cause determination of issues including recommendations for improvements.Maintain compliance for network components.Support critical network devices and maintain a 99% uptime

Plant and Business UnitSuppliers of products and servicesTeams, peers, manager and other relevant personnel in the GIS organization

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

The individual must be knowledgeable in business standards, conventions, procedures, and technical environments.Strong customer engagement skills with excellent interpersonal and presentational skills, with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) at all levels of the business, IT, and corporate partners (vendors) effectively.Use the preferred list of products and services of Howmet. Ensure these products and service standards are adhered to at the business level.Effectively engage Level 1 (customer contact), Level 2 (initial troubleshooting and resolution), and Level 3 (project/design work) support to assist the customer.
