Public Trust Location: San Antonio, TX 78216 US (Primary) % Travel 0 - 10% Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer to join our team to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at an onsite location. As a Network Engineer, you will: + Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals. + Be part of an empowered accountability culture where each employee-owner has a meaningful stake in the future success and growth of the company. A week in the life of a Network Engineer, you will: + Coordinate with network administrators and stakeholders to manage changes, whether implementing new networks or upgrading existing ones. + Play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing security measures to protect both new and legacy networks. + Engage in network modeling, analysis, and strategic planning, you'll help us stay ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. + Work closely with architecture teams to evaluate and recommend cutting-edge network technologies. Support network administrators in resolving complex troubleshooting issues and may oversee vendor engagements to aid in these efforts. + Handle operational or administrative duties for networks in both lab and production environments. + Exhibit higher levels of independent thought and handle more complex tasks than Level II engineers, with the potential to supervise others. + Bring your strategic vision and proactive problem-solving skills to a dynamic and forward-thinking team. Job Requirements + Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency + Public Trust Clearance + IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT II and CE + Experience in this Discipline: Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required + proficiency. + Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. + Excellent communication skills for engaging with team members and stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Strong project management and organizational skills. + Additional Preferred Qualifications + Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). + Experience with scripting and automation tools like Python or Ansible for network automation. + Knowledge of emerging networking technologies and trends, such as SD-WAN. + These qualifications equip a Network Engineer III to manage and optimize complex network environments effectively, ensuring their reliability, security, and scalability. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
