ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Senior Network Engineer shall be familiar with ATM, Frame Relay, etc.Respond to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system.Perform network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.

 

Designated persons shall be named to fill each shift during a 24x7x365 work week at the Washington Currency Facility - DCF, and Western Currency Facility - WCF (Fort Worth, TX) locations. The contractor shall name a lead Network Engineer who responsibility is to lead the entire network team in providing support as described in section 11.2 of this document as well as other sections mentioned in this document as well.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have at least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), etc.High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers.

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

 

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cloud.

 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:


As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
