Senior Network Engineer

About the role:

Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) i) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Head of Network, you will support projects such as new implementation, continuous improvement initiatives, as well you will support the monitoring and preservation of the network infrastructure of Barry Callebaut. You will also be responsible for operating and managing the local (LAN, WLAN) and global (WAN) network infrastructure and providing remote access to Barry Callebaut’s networks incl. network access control.
 

Key responsibilities:

Manage and monitor LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure, ensuring network access control and security Provide operational support and resolve network-related issues Design, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices Implement new network solutions and optimize existing systems Ensure optimal network performance through continuous monitoring and troubleshooting Document network infrastructure through Standard Operation Procedures Oversee network installations and subcontractors when required Occasional travel on a project basis;
 

About you:

Strong knowledge of LAN, WLAN, and WAN management, network configuration, and troubleshooting

Expertise with networking hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS)

Experience with Cisco products, particularly Meraki Cloud Managed Solutions; knowledge of HPE Aruba is a plus Familiarity with Azure networking, SD-WAN, and SASE solutions Experience in API scripting and IT automation tools (e.g., DevNet) Knowledge of ITIL processes and Infrastructure Monitoring tools is a plus Strong problem-solving skills, structured work approach, and the ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical audiences Passion for digital technology and innovation, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
