Complete Description:
Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide customer-facing consulting services, subject matter expertise, engineering services, and operational support as part of the engineering and architecture team in designing, deploying, and operating a mission-critical, converged network.
The objective of this procurement is to assist in the engineering, implementation, and operation of DCNET’s Government Service Provider Network supporting and connecting critical District of Columbia government infrastructure. The individual will provide design recommendations based on industry expertise in requirements analysis, functional design, and deployment of complex technology solutions across enterprise and service provider networks. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Requirements gathering related to implementation of technology solutions across enterprise and service provider networks.
• Provide hands-on analysis and quality assurance for the DC Net network engineering team, leveraging industry expertise related to deployments of complex technology solutions.
• Experience in analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Design/Implementation experience with Cisco ASR and Nexus platforms in a Service Provider environment supporting network data and voice subscriber services
