Location: LA Air Force Base / El Segundo, CA
We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the installation workmanship standards, manufacture’s guidance and safety codes including rack installation.
This position requires a DoD Top Secret Clearance to start.
As part of a support team, you will:
Be responsible for configuration management, maintenance and administration of hardware and software for a government agency’ unclassified/classified, and stand-alone environment architecture enclavesNetwork Infrastructure, network setup from scratch, configuration and reconfiguration Providing recommendations to customers on network infrastructure solutions Assist with servers, storage devices, network switches, cabling, desktops, operating systems software, and software applications. Take responsibility of LAN circuit management, labeling and running cables, equipment/rack drawings and quality assurance.Be able to use a cyber lens to tackle network security vulnerabilitiesDesired Experience
Experience with LAN/WAN networks to include Cisco and Juniper networking devices and technologies including switches, routers, and VLANsStrong exposure to cyber security concepts – i.e. Risk Management Framework protocols, cyber risks, etc. Experience with working in classified spaces to implement network solutionsAbility to depict network diagrams, rack elevations and cable tables accuratelyFamiliar use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and VisioFamiliarity with Communications Security {Cryptographic Security} user supportExperience working with Space Force/Air Force/DoD customers or support of government programsDuties will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring all system environment hardware and software meet DoD security requirementsHelp to manage the installation/removal process from cradle to grave by following the site survey process, project statement of work, update facility /rack drawings, cable labeling and quality control after completion of projectIdentify configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting and configuration auditsProvide configuration management for the enclave environment hardware, software, software applications and virtualization systemsContribute to the team with installing, configuring and maintaining network and Windows/Red hat operating system environmentsPerform daily monitoring and problem resolution of multiple operating environments using network monitoring tools and system software toolsDeveloping or modifying configuration management plans, policies and procedures tailored to the TAP Lab complexity and scope of the developmental or operational systemEnsure that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards which member is an active participant in.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
10+ years of experience working information technology configuration management, maintenance and administration of hardware and software for a unclassified/classified and stand-alone environment architecture enclaves.Bachelor's Degree. (Six (6) years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's Degree plus four (4) years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.)Must have an Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityMust have an active CompTIA Security+ Certification About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
