The Senior Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for maintaining and managing a predominately large-scale Cisco & Meraki network. The position will work closely with various functional groups and interact with internal clients, providing exceptional service in an efficient and effective manner. The Network Engineer must have Network and VOIP knowledge and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n\nCentrally manage the processes for network configuration and optimization\nArchitect and maintain network solutions for a VOIP/MPLS data and voice network for large scaler enterprise consisting of Data Center, corporate sites and over 120 branch locations\nSupport internal clients and provide status, progress, and results to senior management\nSuccessfully manage installations, upgrades, real estate relocations and maintenance of routers, switches, APs & Unified Communications products.\nEvaluates network performance and identifies operational problems and suggests improvements to optimize the VoIP infrastructure\nProvides Quality of Service (QOS) Traffic engineering/shaping in fully converged network / Models / Best Practices\nAssist with the implementation of progressive technology projects accordingly\nManage wireless and VPN infrastructure\nExecute basic troubleshooting network voice/data (Cisco/Meraki Routers, PIX, and ASA).\nWork with Firewalls and communications infrastructure\nOther duties as assigned\n\n Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

\n\nBachelors degree in information technology or other business related field\n5-10 years of experience working directly with large scale data networks, Cisco, Meraki and Palo Alto infrastructures and Firewalls\nWork location flexible but applicant must be located in Dallas-Ft Worth area and be able to be onsite at various corporate locations in Dallas and Richardson as needed\n\n

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

\n\nStrong problem solving and project management skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines\nExceptional communication skills -- listening, written, and verbal\nExperience with Cisco routers and switches 6807, 9k, 5K, 4331, 3750, 2900, 1111\nStrong working knowledge of IP routing, VLANS, QoS\nStrong working experience with protocolsIGRP, OSPF, EGP, EIGRP, BGP, IPsec\nExperience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco WAP products - Cisco and Meraki\nNetwork Protocols TCP/IP / SIP / MGCP / SCCP / MPLS\nExperience withCisco/Meraki ASA firewall, VPN IPSEC configurationand PaloAlto firewall\nAbility to professionally communicate both internally and externally with individuals at all levels of an organization\nSolid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and Project)\nSkilled in being a self-motivating, analytical, and proactive team player\n\n

DESIRED SKILLS:

\n\nFamiliarity with Cisco 6807, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ISE, SolarWinds\nCisco Certifications CCNP / CCNA / CCVP Certified Professional\nWorking knowledge of WAN technologies (Gigaman and MPLS)\nWorking knowledge of Secure Voice concepts and processes\nExperience with SDWAN, Meraki MX SDWAN devices and switches\nExperience with Cisco Unified Communications Suite and UCCX Administration a plus\n
