Position Summary

Key contributor to the design, implementation and maintenance of the Kootenai Health enterprise network infrastructure. Troubleshoots complex network performance issues, demonstrating excellent technical skills across all enterprise network technologies dealing with routers, firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure and VoIP. 

 

Responsibilities

Contributes to developing, implementing, maintaining and revising policies and procedures for KH enterprise network and voice infrastructure Analyzes existing systems and makes proactive recommendations for improvements Maximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting Handles escalations from Network Engineers and Network Administrators Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish projects and tasks Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned  

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 8 years of progressive, relevant network experience Cisco certification preferred Working knowledge of Server Infrastructure technologies In-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols and network security

Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height Must be able to maintain a sitting position Typical equipment used in an office job Repetitive movements
