The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the US Signal internal Network infrastructure. This position can work Remote or Hybrid.
Functions/Responsibilities:
Competencies:
+ Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) for Internal infrastructure
+ Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
+ Monitor network performance and proactively recommend and implement solutions to improve network efficiency and anticipated business needs
+ Automate routine network tasks to improve efficiency and free up time for strategic initiatives
+ Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect against cyber threats and meet compliance requirements.
+ Serve as a member of the on-call rotation that provides after-hours support for urgent incidents and service requests.
+ Document network configurations and procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer
+ Analyze new products and make recommendations for implementation
+ Mentor Jr resources in Network Technologies
+ Contribute to the department’s continuous service improvement initiatives
Required Experience:
What you bring to the team:
+ Minimum 5-7 years of design, planning and implementation of enterprise networks and monitoring tools
+ High proficiency in network architecture or core technologies and protocols (MPLS, MLAG and LACP/LAG, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), IPsec, VLANs, routing, etc.
+ The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Ability to manage small to medium projects.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Ability to travel on a period basis.
+ Experience with WAN, Campus, Data Center and Wireless networks
+ Experience with relevant networking and firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto and Arista Networks
+ Strong network administration experience in areas such as DNS, routing, firewall configuration, scripting and automation
+ Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
+ Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

Education:
An Associates Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Computer Science or a similar field of study is preferred.
