Your New Role:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for working with the Network Operations and Engineering Teams in support of strategic improvements of the global network platform focusing on the WBD IP/MPLS Backbone. The individual will be continually evaluating processes and technology solutions to ensure expected outcomes are achieved in the most efficient way whilst documenting any improvements to help ensure standards and processes are followed.

Working closely with network operational teams, internal and external productions to ensure that individual requirements are satisfied.  The Senior Network Engineer will also be responsible for working on large network focused projects and will be responsible for individual contributions to budgets and schedules, all while ensuring that quality and business agility needs are fully addressed. 

Your Role Accountabilities:

Participate in the design and implementation of multi-vendor production networks spanning multiple data centers and locations including public cloud

Support WBD network infrastructure and related services 24*7 by responding to and resolving all service requests and trouble tickets within a stipulated SLA time

Collaborate on network infrastructure modernization and expansion projects in an engineering and design role

Documentation of operational configuration changes and process improvements

Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications & Experiences:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering in a service provider or enterprise network production environment

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems is preferred

Advanced knowledge of Juniper and Arista

Advanced knowledge of BGP and MPLS in a service provider or large enterprise environment

Knowledge of network security products & services along with best practices for network integration - Palo Alto – preferred

Modern scripting skills preferred – Python

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience preferred - Terraform

Mentor and train other team members on infrastructure architecture, cloud-design patterns related to your technical expertise

Process oriented engineer with strong execution and follow-through skills

Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload

Strong and consistent customer service and communication skills

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Strong team member with self-motivation and desires to improve the infrastructure

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

Must participate in an on-call rotation for out of hours support

Minimal travel anticipated for this position

Must have the legal right to work in the US
