The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network architecture and security, with specific expertise in NIST 800-53 and 800-171 standards, as well as modern SD-WAN and SASE principles. **Key Responsibilities** • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of network engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. • Network Design & Implementation: Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and security standards. • Compliance Management: Ensure all network engineering practices comply with NIST 800-53 and 800-171 standards, including risk management and security controls. • SD-WAN & SASE Expertise: Implement and manage modern SD-WAN and SASE architectures to enhance network performance and security. • Project Management: Plan and execute network projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, IT, and operations, to achieve strategic objectives. • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor network performance and reliability, making data-driven decisions for improvements. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures, providing regular reports to senior management. **Qualifications** • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Experience: 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the defense contracting sector. • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP are preferred. • Technical Skills: o Deep knowledge of NIST 800-53 and 800-171 frameworks. o Proficiency in SD-WAN and SASE technologies and principles. o Experience with network security protocols and tools. o Familiarity with cloud networking and integration. • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
