Position Overview
Pennoni is looking for a Senior Network Security Manager to join our IT team. This role will oversee the design, deployment, security, and management of our IT infrastructure and cloud services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, and Azure. In addition to ensuring performance and availability, this role will drive innovation, align IT services with business objectives, and lead security initiatives to safeguard the organization's digital assets.
Infrastructure Security Management:
Implement and enforce security best practices, policies, and frameworks across on-premises and cloud environments. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities affecting the IT environment. Oversee identity and access management (IAM), ensuring proper access controls, role-based permissions, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) implementations.Cloud Security Management:
Monitor Azure security posture using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and other security tools to detect and respond to threats. Ensure secure configuration of cloud environments and compliance with relevant security standards.Security Governance & Compliance:
Develop, document, and enforce IT security policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Adopt security policy frameworks and take necessary steps to ensure continued compliance. (Such as, CMMC, NIST 800-171, CIS) Conduct security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure system security and health. Manage security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity risks and best practices.Disaster Recovery & Incident Response:
Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BCP), and cybersecurity incident response plans. Lead security incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and remediation of security events. Conduct regular security tests, such as penetration testing and vulnerability scans, to identify and mitigate risks.Continuous Improvement & Security Innovation:
Stay up to date with the latest trends in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity threats, and risk mitigation strategies. Evaluate, implement, and manage security tools such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure security compliance and effectiveness of managed services.Position Requirements:
Strong background in IT security, with experience implementing security policies, frameworks, and tools. Expertise in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, including Cisco Meraki Networking, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID security policies. Advanced networking experience supporting a multi-office WAN environment, including designing, implementing, and maintaining secure WAN infrastructure. Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, and incident response methodologies. Strong PowerShell scripting skills for security automation, logging, and compliance monitoring. Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Microsoft Security certifications) are highly desirable.
