The Network Engineer III - VOICE will act as a Senior level, experienced contributing member of the Global Network team at ITT, with a special focus on implementing, supporting, and maintaining ITT’s Voice / VoIP network globally. This individual will work on all production, development, and corporate networks. The ideal candidate will have experience in administration and support of Cisco voice technologies as well as good understanding of IP telephony. The Network Engineer II will also work closely with the Cyber Ops, Hosting, Identity Management and Technical Assistance Center to ensure a strong and robust network is always available.  Strong Service Level Agreement (SLA) responsibilities and strict change control are synonymous with this role.

Essential Responsibilities Provide input and recommendations towards voice strategy and roadmap development.Design voice architecture for global organization that includes cloud-enabled voice services.Drive implementation of new or existing solutions according to approved designsIdentify optimization opportunities and drive service improvements leveraging root-cause analysis.Act as a peer reviewer for high or medium impact changesDevelop test procedures and validate features and functionality for system upgrades and changes.Act and participate as a technical lead in the implementation of new solutions, product upgrades, or high to medium impact changes.Act as technical resource for all escalated system issues in areas of expertise and provide support for team of global call managers. Diagnosing faults and providing complete resolution to customer satisfaction.Produce knowledge articles, documentation, and information to be distributed amongst the team.Collaborate with a team of security and networking engineers to ensure the security and efficiency of ITT global network.Assess solution capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.Maintain network topology diagrams relating to moves, adds and changes as they occur.Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.Overseeing the support and business as usual tasks of the Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity and other Voice Management systems.Handle incident and service requests and resolve within the agreed Service Level AgreementEnsure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks.Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.Assess development and test strategies.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.Conducting periodic inspections to ensure the overall health of the infrastructure components. Position Requirements

Requirements

7+ Years of network management and network operations support related experience, preferably at a large network enterprise.Extensive ability in network incident resolution for layer 2 and 3 availability incidents, performance incidents, and resolutions requiring team-based resolution with peers and vendors.Extensive experience and hands-on knowledge in analyzing packet captures, capable of isolating abnormal client-host communication.Expert Voice systems administration experienceKnowledge and understanding of Voice network system requirements and standards.Working technical knowledge of current Internet and network protocolsAbility to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.Proficient knowledge of Cisco router / switch configuration.Expert knowledge of collaboration platforms such as CUCM, CUCN, UCCX, required.Experience with other Voice technologies and platforms, specifically Microsoft / Teams VoIP solutions highly sought.CCNA certification required.CCNP Collaboration preferred.Palo Alto experience a plusLoad Balancers, Cloud networking, AAA experience is a plus.

Work Conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time.This role requires availability for planned off-hours work and scheduled on-call as needed. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate power tools, computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
