We are seeking a talented individual to join our Advisory team at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office

This role requires driving to client sites across Victoria, and providing expert safety advice to a large client with multiple sites.

Senior OHS Consultants form part of the leadership structure and are responsible for managing a team of professional consultants to deliver practicable solutions to identify and mitigate risks for our client.

The Senior OHS Consultant works closely with their client counterparts; and workplace managers; to deliver professional and technical OHS advice and guidance to the client’s workplaces to meet their strategic safety objectives.

We will count on you to:

Apply well-developed specialist knowledge in providing consulting and risk management services to Marsh clients and internal Marsh teamsProvide operational oversight to allocated portfolio of client workplaces. This is delivered by working with internal client teams to ensure that outcomes are delivered to the required technical quality and timeliness, while complying with Marsh operational processes.Collaborate with internal client teams to strategically manage workload for allocated portfolio.Lead, mentor, develop and manage OHS consultants to deliver consistent and high-quality outcomes for client base.Ensure consultant reports are reviewed to deliver quality, technical accuracy and timeliness for client.Maintain strong day to day relationships with clients and client executives on projects.Identify cross selling opportunities and participate in cross selling initiatives as appropriateMentoring and supporting professional development plans for direct reportsDeliver strategic and operational improvements, and ensuring internal and external strategic and capability building improvement opportunities

What you need to have: 

Ideally 5 years + experience in WHS advisory or related role is desirableCertificate IV in Assessment and Workplace TrainingHigh level of safety hands-on technical experienceExperience in people management and leadership – including mentoring, developing and guiding more inexperienced consultantsFantastic stakeholder management and relationship building skillsStrong issue resolution skillsAttention to detail and quality managementMust have own vehicle suitable for travel requirements
