Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will prepare, review, and edit standard correspondence, reports, and other technical documents to ensure proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and effective presentation of information; You will perform clerical and technical work in support of management analysis and/or program analysis to evaluate and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of organizations and programs; You will create travel orders to authorize official travel for assigned employees as well as answer employees’ questions concerning the automated travel system regarding information and documentation requirements; You will assist supervisor(s) in processing time and attendance records in automated systems as well as maintain calendars for supervisors and conference rooms. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5/6 grade level or pay band DG-3 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing memorandums in accordance with organizational manuals and guidance; 2) Preparing and processing travel documents, including travel orders, vouchers, and itineraries; 3) Providing a full range of administrative support duties including planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks; 4) Maintaining calendar/scheduling appointments and arranging meetings and/or conferences; 5) Utilizing Microsoft Office 365 tools suite. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
