Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the smelting process to ensure the production of high-quality copper Develop and implement strategies to optimize smelting processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste Supervise and lead a team of smelting technicians and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to safety protocols and production targets Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot any technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives Monitor and analyze production data, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and environmental requirements related to smelting operations Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe working environment and uphold best practices in smelting operations Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for smelting personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge Contribute to the development of annual budgets and cost control measures for the smelting department Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in smelting processes Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree in relevant field (preferred) 7 to 9 years of experience in the copper industry Prior experience in smelting operations is essential Demonstrated track record of successful leadership and team management
