Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the copper smelter, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations Optimize the smelting processes to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards Lead and guide the smelting team to ensure efficient and effective operations Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to address any equipment issues and ensure timely maintenance Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any safety or process deviations Prepare and maintain production reports, analyze data, and recommend process improvements Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and competencies Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree in relevant field (preferred) 8 to 10 years of experience in the copper industry Proven track record in smelting operations Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams
