Title:
Senior Operations EngineerKBR is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer with exquisite space control mission area experience to include highly classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems with respect to concepts, development, build, and test. Successful applicants will have had direct sensor support experience on an operations floor, with deep technical understanding of SSA and SDA operations in support of protect and defend missions. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Injects SSA domain expertise to Systems Engineering processes and acquisition lifecycles (traditional waterfall and agile).Provides expert advice to the program manager on technical analysis and design considerations for highly classified space control space, ground, and C2 systemsConducts detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for improving the traditional SSN architectureExercises verification and validation of SSA data that is actually collected.Drafts test plans and test procedures as circumstances warrant; optimizes anomaly resolutionQualifications
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering discipline (space physics, orbital mechanics) with over 10 years of experience between operational SSA systems and DoD agile acquisition programsActive TS/SCI clearanceProficient and knowledgeable of commercial sensors and familiarization of technical insertion opportunities to the Government SSA architecture.Superior written and verbal communication skillsDesired
Master’s degree in related engineering discipline (space physics, orbital mechanics) with over 10 years of related experience between an operational floor and DoD agile acquisition programs
This salary target range is if for the stat on Colorado area only
$150,000……………$175,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
