Under supervision this position is accountable for scheduling various types of patient appointments from simple office visits to complex procedures, securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, identifying services requiring authorization for treatment and referral information.

Required Qualifications: 

California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.  1 year - Experience in customer service or healthcare registration.  Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience. Clerical and computer experience. A track record in organizing and planning.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training - Some college level course work. Coursework/Training  - Satisfactory completion of college level Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant course. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) upon hire.  Registrar, scheduler and third party payor experience. Healthcare experience in a hospital or clinical setting, health insurance or medical office.
