Kimley-Horn is looking for a Payables Specialist to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

Educate employees on expenses and process of correctly submitting reports.

Proactively recommend and pursue opportunities for process improvements related to enhancement of audit capabilities and the expense reimbursement process.Perform audits in high-risk areas to compliment standard audits, such as duplicate reimbursements, missing receipts, and out of pocket charges.Track and analyze approved policy exceptions.Lead process improvements and oversee team members’ work.Stay abreast of industry trends and communicate to management.Provide back-up for other team members in their responsibilities to review and approve expense reports and invoices to ensure compliance with company policies.Provide high quality internal/external client service. Qualifications Analyze processes or problems and suggest improvements or resolutions.Prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments concurrently.Work individually and within a team environment.Manage time and stress levels efficiently and professionally.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to be flexible.Shows initiative.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or applicable experienceKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresProficient in Excel Deltek Costpoint Accounting Software or a similar programConcur Travel and Expense Reporting Software or a similar program Why Kimley-Horn?
