About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our payroll processes for China. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and provide a top-notch employee experience. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our payroll vendor and contribute to the implementation of our global payroll strategy.
 

ResponsibilitiesAccurately review and submit China payroll data to meet processing deadlines.Adhere to all China payroll processes and controls to ensure compliance.Ensure timely completion of payroll payments, including deductions for taxes, benefits, and other items.Provide an exceptional employee experience in payroll delivery and resolve payroll-related cases.Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.Produce monthly payroll reconciliations and support GL delivery to Finance partners.Assist in implementing the global payroll strategy, including data migration, parallel payroll runs, and integration testing.Work closely with the payroll vendor to meet SLA targets and deadlines.Coordinate administrative steps for payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
RequirementsSolid years of experience in handling China payroll and compliance.Knowledge of payroll processes in other APAC countries is a plus.Experience supporting APAC payroll transformation projects.Proficiency in using Workday and associated payroll integrations.Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building personal networks.Deep understanding of APAC payroll operations and compliance requirements.Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with employees, team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
