Senior Payroll Consultant

Key Responsibilities: 

Process payroll for employees accurately and on time Executes complex payroll processes and provides payroll consultation services Ensure adherence to service level agreements and quality standards Payroll reconciliations and timeous management of exceptions  Implement payroll systems to align with business or legislative specifications Conduct comprehensive payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance and manage potential risk Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry trends to inform best practices Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for payroll-related issues Coach junior team members and contribute to a culture of learning and development Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll data and employee information  Perform other payroll and administrative tasks as needed

Qualification and Experience: 

HR/Payroll/related Diploma is advantageous  5 years’ functional experience in end to end Payroll processing Customer service / user experience passion  Strong working knowledge of payroll and HR systems and practices (preferably Oracle) Strong working knowledge of compensation, benefits and ER related policies and PAYE tax legislation  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Understanding of the Retail business context is an advantage
