Senior Payroll Operations Analyst
**Description** **Position Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. **Key Responsibilities** + Payroll Processing: Oversight of the full-cycle payroll process, including generating special entries (bonus, stock), reviewing, and auditing payroll + Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports for audit purposes and internal use. + System Management: Maintain and update payroll systems and software to ensure efficiency and accuracy. + Tax Adjustments: Collaborate with tax department on the reconciliation of tax liabilities.Research and resolve employeetax-related issues includingthose that may require system adjustments + Employee Inquiries: Address and resolve employee questions and concerns regarding payroll. + Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practice process improvements to streamline payroll operations. **Qualifications** + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. People Soft experience a plus + Knowledge: In-depth understanding of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and labor laws. + Knowledge of Canadian payroll, taxation and compliance a plus. + Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing. + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. **Benefits** We offer a competitive benefits package that provides a foundation of support for the health, safety, and security of you and your family.
