Senior Payroll Specialist
Description: + Process bi-weekly processing of the payroll including, reviewing timecards for accuracy. + Confirm employees have adequate PTO or other paid time off balances to apply toward absences. + Prepare and distribute payroll reports. + Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies. + Confirm hours and code departments for staffing company invoices and verify temporary employees’ timecard match with payroll system entries. + Calculate and issue final wages for terminated employees. + Process 401(k) contribution changes, ensure all 401(k) funds are submitted, and remit monies for 401(k) accounts on pay dates. + Reconcile insurance carrier benefit invoices. + Input new hire information and employee status changes in HRIS/payroll system to ensure data integrity. + Prepare manual paychecks as needed. + Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies. + Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees. + Manage payroll related queries and requests from employees. + Maintain strong relationships with external third parties (e.g., payroll & benefit providers) + Assemble, audit, and maintain new hire personnel files. + Train employees, managers/supervisors on how to use the timekeeping system including time off requests and approvals. + Prepare reports for month end processing and input related journal entries. + Submit new hires into payroll system. + Assist in the maintenance of employee records and adhere to all state and federal laws. + Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years’ ADP Workforce payroll processing experience.
