Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Senior Payroll Specialist for a contractual position in our San Ramon office. The ideal candidate must have certified payroll experience and possess a deep understanding of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations. Responsibilities: + Administering and processing payroll for over 500 employees + Ensuring all processing is completed accurately and timely + Reviewing and verifying staff timecards and handling any discrepancies + Interpreting pay policies (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers comp, government regulations, etc.) + Managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely + Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests + Maintaining payroll operations by following the company's policies and procedures Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential required + A deep understanding of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations + Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software (e.g., Payforce) + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail + Strong communication and interpersonal skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
