Senior Payroll Specialist
Description SENIOR PAYROLL SPECIALIST - Growing Company in Commerce My client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll-related transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with both internal and external policies. You will handle a variety of payroll functions, including processing regular and overtime pay, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations. Key Responsibilities: + Ensure payroll transactions comply with internal and external policies. + Track and calculate regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and special payments. + Process and review tax withholdings and other deductions. + Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations governing payroll and benefits. + Review and process payroll adjustments, including retroactive pay, paid time off, and other leave types. + Reconcile payroll errors and maintain accurate payroll records. + Address and resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies. Requirements + Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred). + 3+ years of relevant payroll experience (preferably in a manufacturing setting). + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with V-Lookups and Pivot Tables. + Strong understanding of payroll calculations, including overtime, shift payments, and deductions. + Ability to maintain accurate payroll records and prepare detailed payroll reports. + Problem-solving skills for resolving common payroll issues. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll-related information clearly.
