Senior Payroll Specialist with French

Job Summary:

The role of the Senior Payroll Specialist is to produce the payroll for clients; acting as their liaison for payroll-related processing. In addition, this role will participate in the system testing as needed, provide consultation to clients, act as mentor for the new joiners, participate to the process diagnosis and updates.

Responsibilities:

Responsible & fully accountable for the payroll & audit function of multiple clients Responsible for scheduling and running the assigned client payrolls by following standard operating procedures Maintains complete, accurate and timely client and employee records based on real time requests Maintains complete and accurate client profile notes as well as processing instructions for each client Balance respective payrolls based on year end calendar and remit all Third Party Remittances by defined due dates, complete all Year End balancing, filing & respective reporting Utilize all internal tools & defined processes to ensure optimal productivity, service excellence and make recommendations for best practices to customers Initiate pre and post production calls with clients Answer client calls (dedicated clients, as well as other clients) Work with internal technical support, various production departments and additional ADP Service hubs as needed to identify a resolution. Provide feedback and suggestions on products, issues, processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and continuous improvement Suggest processes and controls tools improvements Ensure quality controls in the payroll process and update documentation - included reconciliation of results and audit checks Highlight and escalate relevant matters that may impact the running of client payrolls Ensures following of process maps and workflows, including the keeping up to date of trackers, data bases and SOPs Ensure the back-up accordingly to the internal procedure in place

Additionally, the Senior Payroll Specialist:

Participate to process related calls/ meetings organized by stake holders/ functional leaders to stabilize the process or to implement new process changes. When required by the SME/TL/Manager, act as a Trainer/ Mentor to the newcomers, ensuring process knowledge is well absorbed. Constantly and actively contribute to the Standardization and Improvement process. Work with the Subject Matter Expert, Payroll Manager and Business unit representatives to provide improvement input to the implementation process and SOP-s to ensure these remain in line with the business requirements. Work closely with the Subject Matter Expert/Payroll Manager and contribute to creation of refresher training sessions for the team whenever the need is detected/ at supervisor’s request or other ADP functions’ suggestion. Liaise with other ADP functions (Support, R&D, Legal Support, etc) to gather all details about how legal changes are implemented, understand the impact to the current processes/SOP-s and suggest changes accordingly. Participate in the process of transferring customers to the recurring service, work with the Team Leader and Subject Matter Expert to assess the quality of the files transferred and suggest improvements to the process.

 

Knowledge and skill requirements:

 

Very good mastery of French and English, both orally and in writing, at minimum B2 Mastery of Windows office tools Ability to manage data in large numbers and integrate into a team Preferred Payroll background An understanding of the client's trade, business and organisation (payroll calculations, law and human resources) Accounting knowledge Customer relationship management Time management Client portfolio management Good interpersonal skills Analytical skills and an ability to summarise Organised Working within a team Dynamic and responsive
