The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations for Arctic Glacier United States and Canada. This role will maintain strong internal and external client relationships by addressing questions and escalations with accuracy, a sense of urgency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Assure all associated Federal, State and Local payroll tax liabilities and associated regulatory tax filings are completed 100% accurately and on time. Maintain accurate ongoing accounting reporting related to funding for payroll tax liabilities. Works with federal and state tax agencies, and third parties to resolve escalations. General Ledger postings Oversight of internal and external compliance requirements, regulations and confidentiality provisions for payroll related taxes. Manages and reports on key performance indicators and metrics. Reviews and analyzes payroll tax procedures; applies continuous improvement methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk. Overall maintenance and development of procedures and policies related to the payroll tax department with understanding of their correlation to other cross-department impacts. Coordinates with key business partners to review and monitor cross-departmental process impact. Subject matter expert/resource for the payroll taxes. Oversight and collaborative relationship management with 3rd party payroll tax system provider to insure long-term stability of solution as it relates to our business. Responsible for all annual compliance reporting to include: EEOC reporting OSHA reporting 5500 Benefit reportings and filings. Distribute year-end annual notices Complete questionnaire for 401(k) Non-Discrimination testing. Perform survey of labor statistics reporting Maintain all regulatory postings for Arctic Glacier at all locations as directed by Federal, State and Local laws.Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 DOE
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years Human Resources functional experience with prior payroll tax experience required. UKG reporting knowledge experience required Able to work independently or with minimal direction, take initiative and exercise good judgment. Requires a high degree of tact and discretion; ability to handle a wide variety of confidential information on a regular basis. Strong IT skills, including understanding of databases and proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
