We are seeking a talented individual to join our People and Culture team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office.
Senior People Partner
As a member of the Pacific People Leadership Team for Marsh McLennan, the Senior People Partner will provide trusted advisory support and coaching to several executives, and their teams within Marsh, collaborating with other People Function colleagues to bring the full portfolio of the People Function to life.We are looking for an experienced business partner, with previous experience in a similar business, and exposure to working within a global matrix environment who can bring great capability to the Marsh and broader Marsh McLennan organisationWe will count on you to:
Act as a trusted advisor to several executives, and their leadership teams, working collaboratively with other parts of the People Function to ensure the entirety of the People Function portfolio is represented. From time to time will fulfill various aspects of a full generalist HR role.Consult with business leaders on career and leadership development strategies, approach and deploymentConsults with business leaders to conduct, monitor, and adjust workforce planning and succession processes as needed and develop an action plan, as well as reward strategy and related initiatives within their businessesProvides high level guidance on the development of metrics to measure results of organizational effectiveness interventions; collaborates with business and COE to monitor and optimize outcomesChampions enterprise culture within business-specific environments. Consults leaders on high level engagement strategies and objectives. Provides business perspective and promotes alignment to the overarching people strategy regarding policy matters that are identified by Employee RelationsConsults with business leaders, People Services and COEs to determine metrics to best gauge HR performanceWorking closely with the COEs, Strategy & Planning and the People Experience teams manage the implementation of cyclical activity such as engagement, remuneration and performance review, goal setting, talent review, pay equity and development planningLead specific initiatives and priorities outlined within the Marsh McLennan annual people planWhat you need to have:
Strong experience in HR Business Partnering, desirable within financial services, broking, consulting. Proven ability to provide effective guidance and support to Executives.Experience working within a global matrix environmentStrong experience in coaching senior leaders and providing trusted advisory supportExperience in managing organisational efficiency programs, including offshoringExperience in acquisitions, particularly integration of new business areas and colleaguesExperience in providing constructive challenge and holding others accountableProject Management/Delivery experienceExcellent verbal and written communicationExcellent change and communication skills, structured execution of organisational changeExcellent time management skillsStrong business acumenDemonstrated stakeholder management capabilitiesWhy join our team:
