Senior Performance Engineer - Bangalore

We're looking for a Senior Performance Engineer candidate with experience in performance engineering and benchmarking for Java enterprise applications.

You will report to the Manager, Development.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Doy Essentials

The successful candidate will be based in Bangalore, India and will:

Develop performance test strategies and plans based on business requirements and high-level designs. Design and develop performance test scripts, execute performance tests, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and areas for improvement. Provide detailed performance test reports and recommendations for improvement to project stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and identify performance testing needs. Contribute to continuously developing and improving our performance testing processes and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest performance engineering tools, techniques, and best practices, and implement them in our process. Collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

 

What We'd Like to See

BTech/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree. 4+ years of experience in performance engineering and benchmarking for Java enterprise applications. Hands-on experience with load testing tools (like JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust, etc.). Hands-on experience with automated performance testing and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.). Hands-on experience in profiling application flows using profiling tools (like JProfiler, JFR, etc.) and debugging distributed applications (open tracing, Elastic APM, Jaeger, etc.). Experience with SQL and NoSQL database platforms (Oracle, MongoDB, etc.) and search engines (like Elastic Search). Hands-on experience with cloud-native microservices-based platforms, technologies, and stacks (Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.). Experience in conducting and interpreting performance/stress volumes to pinpoint bottlenecks in the system.
