Senior Petrophysicist
**Job Summary** As a Senior Petrophysicist, you will lead the evaluation of subsurface reservoirs and fluid properties using advanced petrophysical methods. Your expertise will guide exploration, development, and production activities, ensuring optimal reservoir management. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive technical excellence. **Duties and Responsibilities** + Lead the analysis and interpretation of well log data. + Develop and validate complex petrophysical models. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior petrophysicists. + Collaborate with geoscientists, engineers, and other specialists. + Other duties as assigned. **Skills and Competencies** + Advanced Production & Well Test Analysis + Advanced Open Hole Wireline Acquisition and Interpretation Principals + Advanced MWD/LWD Acquisition, Operations and Interpretation Principals + Applied Data Loading/Management Quality Control + Intermediate Data Acquisition Planning, Execution, and Integration + Intermediate predicting and curing of missing or bad data + Intermediate Conventional & Unconventional Formation Evaluation + Intermediate Routine Core Analysis and Tight Rock Core Analysis Principals + Intermediate Rock and Fluid Analysis Principles + Intermediate Statistics and Data Visualization Techniques + Intermediate deterministic and probabilistic modeling methods + Intermediate Petroleum Systems Principals + Intermediate Geologic Principals and Analysis + Intermediate Geophysical Principals + Intermediate Geochemical Principals + Intermediate Geomechanical Principals + Intermediate Petroleum Engineering Principals + Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. + Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. + Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization. + Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. + Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. + Builds Networks - Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization. + Financial Acumen - Interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions. + Drives engagement - Creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives. + Demonstrates self-awareness - Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses. + Self-development - Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering from an accredited college or university. + Minimum of five (5) years of related experience. + An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering from an accredited college or university or 5-10 years experience in an industry petrophysical job role. + Ability to span exploration and production life cycle job functions **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions** + Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. + Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. + Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
