The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Has advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED. Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License. Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification.Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy. Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) preferred where applicable by role and state. Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances). Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).Why Join Providence?
