About this opportunity:

Cenovus is seeking a Senior Pipeline Integrity GIS Analyst to support the accurate representation of its pipeline systems through GIS mapping platforms. This role involves preparing and maintaining geospatial data, maps, and web-based applications while ensuring timely updates and integration with other work management platforms for efficient planning and risk assessment. The analyst will interpret and integrate data from multiple sources to enhance analysis, provide ad-hoc reporting, and ensure the effective representation of pipeline integrity information. Strong GIS expertise and experience in pipeline integrity or asset management are essential for this position.

What you’ll do:

Support the Pipeline Integrity Management program by developing and maintaining a detailed up-to-date and accurate interactive mapping platform that provides visualization and contextualization to a wide array of stakeholders of the many interconnected pipeline integrity tasks

Integrate existing work management platforms (SAP) into the GIS mapping platform for enhanced visualization of a number of key items of the Pipeline Integrity Program, such as, but not limited to, risk identification and mitigation, work activities and schedules for improved planning and execution, deficiency management, and pipeline system changes

This role will work with the IT GIS team as required, but will have a more defined scope in direct support to the CTCHO Pipeline Integrity portfolio

Prepare and maintain geospatial data, maps, and tabular data to support accurate representation and analysis of pipeline integrity information

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

Legally authorized to work in Canada

8+ years of direct relevant experience with GIS mapping tools

Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online

Strong skills in data cleaning, manipulation, and handling large datasets efficiently

Expertise in spatial analysis techniques and geospatial data modeling

Experience in creating thematic maps, interactive maps, and utilizing data visualization techniques
