**Plant Controller** **Location:** Central Illinois (Less than two hours southwest of Chicago) **Generous Relocation Assistance provided** **Type:** Permanent, Full-Time **Salary:** Up to $180K (depending on experience) with excellent benefits **Job Description:** We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our client's team at a manufacturing site located approximately an hour and 45 minutes southwest of Chicago. We need a **strategic, yet hands-on** professional bringing **at least 10 years' experience from a manufacturing plant** . Incumbent should be a problem-solver with prior managerial experience; This role has approximately seven direct reports. **Responsibilities:** + Oversee all financial operations of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. + Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. + Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures. + Ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. + Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making. + Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. + Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency. + Manage ERP systems, with a preference for SAP. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. + At least 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a strong background in cost accounting. + Advanced degree (Master’s) in a related field is a plus. + Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable. + Proven leadership and management experience. + Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred. + In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
