We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager who can manage our operations facility, where we manufacture innovative automation equipment for the prefabrication of wall panels and floor & roof truss assembly. This position will be located out of our Houston, TX location. The ideal candidate for this position will support advancing and growing our manufacturing process and must possess proven leadership skills as well as a strong ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourage corporate growth and meet company goals.Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Essential Functions:
Thorough understanding of OSHA policy/regulations and ensuring facilities adherence
Lead and develop the team in planning, making, and delivering functions.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all production activities.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support for team members to maximize their potential.
Nurture a culture of accountability to advance the manufacturing organization in setting, driving, and enforcing harmonized standards.
Contribute and drive Lean initiatives and Continuous improvement culture.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage various KPIs (financial, delivery, Productivity, etc.) to measure plant performance, make further KPI recommendations, and implement improvements.
Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyze information skillfully. Develop alternative solutions. Work well in group problem-solving situations.
Strategic Mindset – Ability to think strategically and creatively and apply strategic thinking skills for organizational success.
Maintain Budgets and Forecasts as provided.
Communicate the organization's vision, mission, and goals to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to align strategic goals with overall company vision.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
10+ years in plant and/or operations management in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years in an operational management role.
Continuous Improvement experience and/or certifications are a plus. Automation assembly experience preferred.Knowledge of Machining and Welding techniques/processes is considered a plus.Project Management experience preferred.Certified Planning & Inventory Management experience a plus.Proven ability to drive cultural change and engagement with a frontline team.Ability to multitask and set priorities.Ability to manage, direct, and motivate a team.Language Skills: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, etc. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Developed strong communication, problem-solving, and human relations skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Computer Skills Strong skills and knowledge of Internet software and MS Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP/MRP system
